How can AI agents be introduced responsibly into organizations? What skills do employees and leaders need to work effectively with them? And how can organizations identify and develop meaningful use cases?
These questions were at the heart of the roundtable discussion “AI Agents in the Workplace: Responsibility, Skills, and Use Cases in Dialogue,” held on June 30, 2026, at the Schöller Research Lab Future of Work.
Organized in cooperation with NIK e.V. – Network of the Digital Economy, the event brought together participants from academia and industry to exchange perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of AI agents in organizational settings. Discussions focused on responsible AI adoption, the competencies required for employees and leaders, and the organizational conditions needed to successfully integrate AI agents into everyday work.
Selected use cases served as starting points for an interactive discussion on practical applications, governance, and future developments. Throughout the discussion, it became clear that the successful adoption of AI agents is not only a technological challenge but also requires careful consideration of organizational, social, and ethical aspects.
